You may have noticed from a couple recent posts that My Fangirl Life are at summer camp with IGGPPC this week!
Each day there has been a closet cosplay challenge. As big fans of closet cosplay and disneybounding we decided we needed to participate in this challenge. Instead of posting an individual post for each day, here are the first 4 closet cosplay challenges:
Day 1: Disney Prince
Justine jumped at another chance to be Hans. She pulled out KG’s ‘Hans’ dress and was reminded of that time she was poor misunderstood Hans at Disney World. She continued to recreate the look with a white blazer, pink scarf, gold belt and black boots.
Day 2: Pixar Animals or Objects
Kris struggled for a little trying to figure out what Pixar character best personified her style. But throughout all the looking she kept coming back to Carl from Up! He’s not exactly an animal or an objects, but it’s the Pixar character that Kris dresses the most like on a daily basis. She stuck true to her “neutral” tendencies and paired a white collared shirt with tan joggers & a boxy brown jacket…topped off with a hair bow to mimic Carl’s bowtie.
Plus we blew up some balloons to complete the look.
Day 3: 90’s Cartoon
Kris and KG came up with this one for Justine…because apparently she kind of dresses like Arthur in her everyday life. It was easy, she already had the yellow sweater and a perfect white collared sleeveless shirt. Paired with some denim shorts and red shoes she quickly became Arthur. Plus of course a backpack as the two of them are both still students.
Day 4: Marvel AND DC Comics
The three of us have already Disneybounded Marvel characters so Kris decided to take a different take with this one. The challenge was Marvel OR DC Comics, why couldn’t Kris be both? Why can’t she love all of the comics?!
To support both sides Kris pulled out her Marvel comic book skirt. The rest of the outfit was less exciting with a simple black tank top and necklace. She had originally pulled out her Marvel shirt, but it was just too much with the skirt. What she really wanted was a Batman shirt (something to keep her eye out for now!). Kris grabbed her Batman and Robin stuffed animals instead to show her support for DC.
Who else is participating in the closet cosplay challenges? Let us know or share your photos with us in the comments!
