Guys, I’m ashamed to admit it… but I really like ABC Spark shows. They’re pretty much my favourite. They’re adorable and funny and heartwarming and happy and I just adore them. Except for Switched at Birth. I refuse to watch it on principle because it just seems like the worst, and I’m pretty sure I know the entire plot of it just from seeing the previews during other shows each week. Other than that, I’m pretty happy to sit around and binge watch anything from ABC Spark. In fact, I’m still pretty upset about Bunheads being so prematurely cancelled. Despite this, I’m still stuck on a variety of shows from this magical channel.
On that note, Chasing Life is back! Hooray!
This is one of those shows that I didn’t want to watch at all (much like Switched at Birth, actually). I don’t like to watch sad shows, and I thought the cancer thing seemed super cheesy. But it didn’t take long before I was convinced to try it. In fact, it was one simple fact that made me realize I had to watch it:
Scott Michael Foster is in this show. Scott Michael Foster is the best.
In my heart, Scott Michael Foster will always be Cappie, and Cappie is basically the perfect man. If you have no idea what I am talking about, I present to you, Greek – an ABC Spark show from before ABC Spark was a thing! Watching Greek reminds me of my time at university and the ridiculous days spent there. This show is the closest thing I’ve seen to an actual awesome, hilarious, fun, and strange university experience (though there are definitely some parts that are more unlikely than others) and Cappie brings all of that together. No matter what I see Scott Michael Foster in, I always feel like that character has the same personality as Cappie – that of the welcoming, funny, charming underachiever.
And Scott Michael Foster got even better when he was cast as Kristoff in Once Upon A Time! He was absolutely the perfect choice for this role, and I hope to see more of him and the rest of the Arendelle crew at some point in the future…
So basically, with this post I am recommending several things: ABC Spark, Chasing Life, Frozen, Once Upon A Time, Greek, Cappie, and above all, Scott Michael Foster. Total dreamboat!
